Abbey Behan is an interdisciplinary artist whose work navigates the complexities of grief, productive violence, and the unsettled space between what is broken and what remains. Working in installation, performance, and collage, she examines how loss can be fractured, stretched, and made unfamiliar. Drawing on research into half-life decay, the Sorites paradox, and the divine, Behan questions what makes something sacred, and how we might hold space for what is already slipping away.
Behan is the founder of Chairstation, a DIY exhibition space in Lansing, Michigan, and currently serves as Operations Manager at REACH Studio Art Center. She completed a painting and printmaking internship at Anderson Ranch Arts Center, and holds a BFA in Studio Art and a BA in Packaging Engineering from Michigan State University.
